Based extensively on the Odyssey Concept which made its debut at the Chicago Auto Show, the 2011 Honda Odyssey was officially revealed this week, and it brings new features and style to the minivan segment.
One of the most noticeable traits of the 2011 Odyssey is that it’s lower and wider than the current model and features the eye-catching “lightning bolt” belt line that was also found on the Odyssey Concept. Exterior features include available HID headlamps up front, new 18-inch alloy wheels, larger 12.6-inch ventilated front disc brakes, and even a power tailgate to make loading and unloading cargo effortless.
Powering the 2011 Honda Odyssey is a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6. With the help of Honda’s venerable Variable Cylinder Management system, the Odyssey should achieve 19 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway — both of which are competitive considering the Odyssey’s size. Introduction of the new model is good news for used minivan shoppers as owners of the previous Odyssey trade up, Used Car Dealers Hartford says.
With the 2011 Odyssey’s wider track, there’s also more interior space than before. The interior also offers a bevy of seating configurations and includes a chilled cool box in the front center console, HDMI input, widescreen entertainment system, trash bag holder, and a multitude of cup-holders (15 in total). Minivan shoppers visiting Honda dealerships Washington have become much more tech-savvy and look for latest entertainment features.
