The environment has always been important to Honda, so it’s no surprise that the automaker hopes to cut its products’ emissions by a staggering 30 percent over the next few years. Honda’s new 2020 CO2 emissions reduction targets have been established to address climate change and energy issues.
Honda has long been committed to setting its own environmental targets. In 2006, Honda set a goal to reduce global CO2 emissions from use of its motorcycles, automobiles and power products by 10 percent by the end of 2010 compared to year 2000 levels. In 2010, the goal was attained by all products.
Honda Dealers In Edmonton confirmed that this week, Honda set a new target to reduce emissions by 30 percent by the end of 2020 compared to 2000 levels. According to Honda SC, In addition to curbing emissions throughout its product lineup, the automaker also wants to reduce emissions during production, through its supply chain, and through its entire corporate activities.
Additionally, Honda has established a global environmental slogan as an expression of the company’s proactive commitment to make progress in its environmental efforts on a global basis. With this slogan – “Blue Skies for Our Children” – Honda will strive to become the leader in the area of environmental and energy technologies.
