The 2009 Tokyo Motor Show may have been smaller than in recent years, but it certainly didn’t disappoint. While there was an absence of foreign automakers, the show did provide plenty of exciting new concepts and models for the Japanese market as well as global customers.
With so many new models on display, perhaps one of the most attention-grabbing was the Lexus LFA super car, which was highly anticipated by Lexus customers at Pohanka Lexus Pre-Owned. But that still doesn’t compare with our pick for the best vehicle on display – the Honda CR-Z.
The Honda CR-Z made its first appearance about two years ago and Fairfax Honda Service says it immediately garnered ample attention. Promising sportiness and efficiency, the CR-Z seems to be much more than merely the embodiment of the light-weight Honda CRX. Instead, it displayed that Honda continues to be the leader in hybrid technology.
Powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and Honda’s Integrated Motor Assist hybrid technology, the Honda CR-Z will be lightweight and nimble, and according to a new Honda Washington DC dealer it will be the first hybrid equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. Between its design and technology, the Honda CR-Z concept is poised to change the way hybrids are perceived.
