Honda Odyssey Concept Coming To Chicago

by Honda in the News on January 28, 2010

With the popularity of the crossover, many have come to feel that the once popular minivan is a bit obsolete. But with the unveiling of the 2011 Toyota Sienna at the 2009 LA Auto Show, it was clear that the minivan was far from dead and was still capable of offering families the complete package.

Taking aim on the recently unveiled Sienna, Honda will be using the 2010 Chicago auto show to display a new concept version of the upcoming all-new Honda Odyssey minivan. Honda has become known for providing all-new production models based on concepts, and despite officially being a “concept,” it would be safe to guess that this upcoming unveiling will be relatively close to the next generation Odyssey.

Honda’s existing Odyssey minivan is simply one of the best vans on the market. Thanks to its supple ride, cavernous interior, and great fuel economy, the Odyssey should most certainly be on any minivan buyer’s shopping list. In addition to its bevy of features, the Odyssey is great looking as well which is a big plus for a vehicle in this segment.

While minivans have faced tough competition from the crossover vehicle, one Nissan dealership Newton says that minivans are making a comeback. Not only is a replacement for the Odyssey in the works, but a new Toyota Sienna and Nissan Quest will become available soon. Bellevue Honda recommends keeping an eye on the Odyssey Concept , because it’s expected to closely resemble the upcoming production model.

Check back here next month as we cover the all-new Honda Odyssey concept’s unveiling in Chicago. If it’s at least as feature-rich as the current model and even more stylish, Honda may have another winner of its hands.
