
While not the Civic’s most popular trim level, the natural gas powered Civic GX has been around since 1998 and has been praised as the cleanest internal combustion vehicle in history. However, since sales are less than stellar, the GX’s future had been in question, until now.
Honda spokeswoman Jessica Fini, responding to consumer feedback complaining about the levels of available equipment on the last GX, said that Honda will offer “desirable options like a navigation system and upgraded stereo,” on the next GX. It will probably be more expensive than the standard Civic, but it’s certainly nice to know that Honda Maryland will still offer the GX trim in the future, and that it won’t be so spartan. Frugal cars like the GX are popular with owners of motorhomes because they’re easy to tow,
